I started practising in 2012, I was hooked after my very first class. Unfortunately, two weeks after my first class I had a motorbike accident and ended up with my left hand and arm in plaster for six weeks. The day after my cast was removed I was back in the room practising. At the time I was working as a prison officer and found my practice to be extremely beneficial for my mental health as well as my physical health.
In 2015 after 10 years as an officer, I was ready for a change so when the opportunity arouse for me to train with Bonfire to become a teacher I knew it was meant to be. I resigned from work and dedicated myself to my study. I graduated as a Bonfire teacher in July 2015, shortly after I completed my Yin teacher training as well. After 10 years in the corrections industry, I am enjoying being able to teach from the heart and having a connection with my students.
